Yes, I'm ready. This won't be so different than hair and makeup for my television appearances, at least.

You still look like you're in pain. I promise not to hurt you? I even had Rebecca go through it with me.

[IT'S JUST LIKE HAIR AND MAKEUP FOR TV, HE CAN DO THIS]

[ Well. Rebecca's gonna know, but for now, here they are! She's going to start rummaging for makeup now. ]

I should have asked you to wash your face beforehand, but your skin looks clean enough...

[ she's looking very serious, talking mostly to herself as she goes for the foundation first. There's a pause, before she slowly tugs off one of her gloves in order to dab the stuff on his face. ]

[. . . he could comment that he does his best to remain clean and hygienic, but. he realizes she's talking to herself, so he's just going to stay quiet while she pats at his face]

[to his credit, he's very well-behaved!]

[ Thank you, Akechi, you're a peach. Cardia at least seems to know what she's doing (thanks, Rebecca), so is swiftly moving from rubbing the foundation in to dabbing concealer under his eyes. ]

Is Eichi doing all right? He's not pushing himself too much, is he?

[he'll be the prettiest detective in the castle]

[he also gives a scoff when she asks about Eichi]

He got himself into a bit of trouble earlier this week.

[ She missed it. ]

[he doesn't really want to recount what happened, because for the briefest of moments? he had been absolutely terrified of losing someone]

He's perfectly fine now, though. There's nothing else to worry about.

[ close your eyes, Akechi, she's fussing with your lids now. ]

I frequently feel like an overworked babysitter around him.

I think being a little more honest with yourself couldn't hurt, though.

[ but what a lovely irritated flush he's developing, she'll just add the lightest touch of blush to accent it. ]

Oddly enough, you aren't the first person to advise me of same.

I don't think it's so odd. If there's more than one person saying it, then it might be at least worth considering.

All the same, even if you lie-- I did promise to keep believing in you. That hasn't changed my mind.

[ She's been fussing with his makeup this whole time, and once she finishes with the lipstick, she leans back with a quiet nod. ]

That should be enough.

[ His eyelashes are nice and luxurious now, he's got a beautiful delicate blush, and some baller eyeshadow to go along with everything else.

Honestly, he'd probably make for a really pretty girl. ]

[Cardia has done a good job!! and honestly, her finishing her makeover is probably for the best, because it means he doesn't have to acknowledge what she said]
